Kiosk mode

With VR Tourviewer you can enable ‘Gaze mode’ in the VR Tourviewer settings, which allows you to use VR Tourviewer on an Oculus Go, Quest, Gear VR, Rift or Pico headset without a controller.
A hotspot or button can then be activated by gazing/staring at it for a short amount of time.

For Pico G2 4K, Neo 2 Pro and 3 Pro, Pico 4 Enterprise:

The Pico headset allows a real kiosk mode to be set. The app of your choice will automatically start when the device starts, instead of the Pico Home screen.
This kiosk mode can be activated by placing a config.txt file in the ‘Internal shared storage’ folder on the Pico. You can find this file here: config.txt

The content of the config.txt is as follows:

This feature requires the latest version of the Pico firmware on your headset: for G2 4K: PUI 4.0.0, for Neo 2: PUI 4.1.0 or later.

If you also want to disable the controller settings dialog, you can change the first line in the config.txt file from open_guide:1 to open_guide:0
Don’t add or remove any lines in the config.txt file.

For Oculus Go:

Oculus Go doesn’t have an official kiosk mode, but you can consider using the ‘Oculus Go Kiosk Mode’ software developed by tweaklab.
It allows you to automatically start the app of your choice when the device starts, and doesn’t require the user to hold a controller button to activate the headset. You can test if it suits your needs with a free version.

For Oculus Quest:

Unfortunately the consumer versions of the Oculus Quest (1 and 2) don’t allow a kiosk mode to be activated. This is only possible with Oculus For Business.
